Technical Training Program – Commitment to Excellence

The FC Westchester Elite Program is implementing structural modifications to its training platform. Our player development process will emphasize high order technical proficiency, efficient execution and creativity. We are confident that these improvements will demonstrate our commitment to achieving the highest level of competitiveness by delivering the most comprehensive soccer training experience in New York. The FC Westchester Elite Girls Program training platform, beginning with our upcoming season, will be modeled after the U.S. Soccer Federation Developmental Academy training framework.

We are proud and very excited that our club is in the United States Soccer Federation Developmental Academy program – one of only seventy-nine soccer clubs in the United States. This honor is a testament to the uncompromising dedication and focus that our technical staff has delivered in developing players with both the technical proficiency and character to compete at the very highest level. Our professional staff will now be dedicating this same measure of attention and focus to our Girls Program – we are absolutely committed to having our players “ready to go” when the Federation expands the Academy Program to include girls.

There you have the mission – the following are just some of the improvements we are making to build on our richFC Westchester Elite tradition and realize the vision:

-New coaching line-up: We have assembled the most accomplished technical coaching staff in the lower New York Area.

-New training regimen: In addition to our regular practice schedule we are adding a mandatory third night specifically dedicated to technical training and physical fitness. The training component will be conducted by our Technical Coordinators (see coaching staff).

-New Position–specific Training Program (optional): Carlos Mejia , our Director of Coaching, will personally be conducting weekly sessions designed to help our players understand and execute techniques that are unique to their position.

-New Cross-training Program: We will be conducting joint sessions with our older age girl’s teams so that our players may test their execution under high pressure playing conditions.

-New Player Evaluation Program: Our players will be evaluated three times during the season. Each evaluation will include a “prescription for improvement” – recommended activities to address areas identified for improvement.

-New U.S. Soccer Federation Developmental Academy Director Training Sessions:  Our Staff will be conducting training sessions for our players to demonstrate the techniques and strategies being emphasized and encouraged by the United States Soccer Federation.

-Professional Fitness Training: We will run 4 weekly programs over the course of the year to provide our players with speed, stability and strength training with an emphasis on performance enhancement and injury prevention.

These improvements are designed to build on the rich tradition of FCWE excellence. We are committing all of our resources to deliver the most comprehensive and enriching soccer training experience available in lower New York area . WE ARE GOING TO COMPETE AND IT’S GOING TO BE FUN...LET’S GET IT DONE!!!
